ACE score 246Find out your Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) score

From My ACE Story

Are Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) impacting your adult life? Are you passing your ACEs on to your children?

Discovering your ACEs score is often the first step to getting help for yourself. And to protecting your children from ACEs.

The higher your ACEs score, the higher your risk of developing serious health and social issues, such as depression, anxiety, cancer and substance abuse.

ACEs are highly stressful situations that can occur during your childhood. This includes physical and emotional abuse, neglect and household dysfunction. They are root causes of many issues.

Tragically, adults can pass their ACEs on to their children. Let's recognise this, reduce and prevent ACEs.

Preventing ACEs in future generations could reduce levels of:
  • Early sex by 22%
  • Unintended teen pregnancy by 38%
  • Smoking (current) by 16%
  • Binge drinking (current) by 15%
  • Heroin/crack use (lifetime) by 59%
  • Incarceration (lifetime) by 53%
  • Poor diet (current) by 14%
  • Anxiety disorders by 31%
  • Behavioural disorders by 41%
  • Psychosis by 33%
  • Mental health diagnoses by 29%

However, the effects of ACEs are treatable and preventable.
