Privacy Policy

At Word on the Streets, we recognize that privacy is important. This privacy policy applies to the site and the use of emails to communicate with  contacts.

We hold contact information on the basis of 'legitimate interest' - one of the legal reasons for doing so. The legitimate interest is a mutual connection with faith-based organisations. In addition, some contacts have registered for email updates and so in effect have opted in. An option is given in each mailing to unsubscribe.

We collect information about site visits.
So we can improve the website and the type of articles we put on the site, we need to see what areas of the site are used and what articles are read. We therefore collect certain standard information about visits to the site so we can analyse usage. This is not linked to your identity but rather shows that a visit by someone to the site happened at this time and what article was read.
