Stoll 246Praying for company property

From a communication by Workplace Prayer

Stoll Industries is a metal-working company, founded in 1969 and based in South Carolina, that provides high-quality products to customers across the USA. The founder William Stoll's Christian values continue to be the guiding principles of the company's ethical standards. His relative, Darris Stoll shared this testimony:

In 2017, we moved into our new office facilities here at Stoll Industries. We gathered our crew together, with some others, and had a time of dedicating the physical building and property to the Lord. The specific prayer we prayed was that God's presence would rest on the facility in such a way that when people simply walked in the door, they would sense that something was different, that the presence of God is there.

I went home that evening after we had prayed that prayer, and I thought, that was so dumb. There's no way that will ever happen and I was wrestling with that.

The next morning, the staff paged me. A salesman that I had known for quite a few years had randomly dropped by to visit us. From my interactions with him, I don't think he would have been a believer in God at all. But that morning, in the lobby of the new office, he was asking how things were going, and we were talking a few minutes, when he stopped in mid-conversation. He said, “There's something - when I stepped through the door this morning, there's something different about this place. I think it’s God!”

I about fell out on the floor right there.

I want to release over each one of you, that the physical places, the structures you're working in - the offices, or businesses, or plants, or homes, or wherever the physical places that you're in today - that those places would be marked by the presence of Jesus in a physical, tangible way, that people sense. And that you will begin to experience testimonies of people walking into those places, and pausing to say, “Man, there's something different about this place.”

The presence of God actually can mark the physical structures that we dwell in and work in.

Stoll also run a programme called Stoll Cares. Stoll Industries partners with non-profit organizations across the world to serve those who are underprivileged and disadvantaged. A portion of each purchase through Stoll Industries goes to support various mission efforts. "We have been blessed in many ways and recognize that the resources entrusted to us are intended to be shared. Stoll Cares is our response to Christ’s calling to 'love your neighbour as yourself.'"
