A Surfer’s Guide to Faith
A resource from Surf Church Collective, Share Jesus International, and Christian Surfers
Are you located in or near a surf or beach community?
Churches, beach ministries, and surf groups now have a bold resource to help introduce people to the Christian faith. A Surfer’s Guide to Faith is a five-week video series designed for churches, Christian Surfers groups, and ministries working in surf and beach communities around the world.
The series is an engaging, high-quality introduction to Christianity tailored for those who feel most at home in board shorts and bare feet. Viewers are in for a wild adventure that blends humour, depth, and surf culture. The series is filmed on location in South Africa and features a powerful interview with Olympic silver medallist and pro surfer Bianca Buitendag to explore the intersection of faith and waves.
"One of the best video resources we have used in a long time — our crew loved it and found it really helpful," said Dennis and Kyle Leon, church planters in Costa Rica, who piloted the resource.
Each 20-minute episode combines storytelling, real-life testimonies, street interviews, and beachside Bible reflections — making it the perfect tool for outreach events, small groups, surf church gatherings, or just starting spiritual conversations over a post-surf coffee.
Seasoned pastors, surf-loving youth leaders, or just those looking for a fresh way to engage their community with the basics of the Christian faith, A Surfer’s Guide to Faith is ideally suited to help them to ride the wave of faith with others.
