discipleship 3 246Making disciples that multiply

From resources by Waha

Take a look at a free, nine-week, online, interactive Disciple Making Course, training believers to gain a Biblical vision of why and how to make disciples. Then, as a community, they can implement disciple making together.

The course is provided by Waha - a non-profit on a mission to empower people everywhere to become disciples who multiply disciples among the unchurched and unreached. It is used by disciple makers in over 180 countries across 48 languages.

Through their Discovery Bible Study App and Disciple Making Course, they bring God's Word, in any language, to the hands of believers on the ground in a format that will help them begin making disciples, forming churches, and multiplying God's Kingdom.

Disciple making and church planting is often presented as too complicated or intimidating for everyday believers. Waha was created by front-line disciple makers, for front-line disciple makers, to break down those barriers. Waha has a simple "gather, press play, discuss" format, which makes  leading a group and getting empowered to make disciples easy.

"For months, Sarah had been praying and searching. She was part of a discipleship group, eager to see God use her to make disciples, but she often felt like she was running into a wall. Every time she tried to share her faith, it seemed like the people around her weren’t interested. She longed for what Jesus promised in Luke 10 - a person of peace - but she couldn’t seem to find one.

"That’s when she met a young mom at her child’s school. Their friendship began simply, but Sarah kept praying that God would open a door. One day, the woman broke down in tears, confessing that she had just chosen to follow Jesus but didn’t know where to start. She said she was desperate for a Bible study. Sarah could hardly believe it. After so many months of searching, here was her person of peace.

"She welcomed the woman into her weekly Bible study with other ladies, and for a time things went well. But one week the friend missed the group, so Sarah visited her at home. They caught up for a while, and Sarah prepared to begin the Bible study right there in the living room. Her friend’s husband, Matt, was sitting nearby. He wasn’t a believer, and at first Sarah wasn’t sure whether to include him. She opened the app and asked what topic they should study. To her surprise, Matt spoke up right away: 'Hope.'

They pressed play and began the story. Sarah’s heart leapt as Matt leaned in - not just listening, but answering the questions, wrestling with the truths, and engaging fully. At the end of the study, the last question came: 'When would you like to meet again?' And without hesitation, Matt said he wanted to continue. She was watching a family take their first steps toward Jesus."
