Online - The Power of Stories
@
In this seminar, we’ll explore how storytelling can bring communities together. This session, delivered by Shelter, will explore how stories are at the heart of every movement. They help people see that the challenges they face aren’t personal failures — they’re shared experiences shaped by systems that need to change.
In this seminar, we’ll explore how storytelling can build collective power, and turn individual experiences into a call for action. We’ll look at how organisers can support people to safely share their stories, how those stories can influence decision-makers, and how they can strengthen campaigns for change.
Whether you’re new to community organising or already working alongside communities, this session will help you think about how stories can move people from “this happened to me” to “together we can change this.”

Online - Connecting Communities Across Difference
@
Bringing groups of people together with shared interests and building bridges between different groups. This webinar will be led by Nick Gardham in Partnership with the Jo Cox Foundation, who lead The Great Get Together, an annual celebration bringing communities together.
One of the key parts of our Community Organising Framework is connecting communities. We will hear stories of how we have done this as part of our work within the community and how by doing this you realise that, as Jo Cox once said “we are far more united and have far more in common than that which divides us.”
We will hear from our colleagues and friends at the Jo Cox Foundation about the work they do to connect communities across the UK as part of their annual Great Get Together in June and the stories of connection they hear up and down the country as part of their More in Common Network.
