Online - The Power of Stories
@
In this seminar, we’ll explore how storytelling can bring communities together. This session, delivered by Shelter, will explore how stories are at the heart of every movement. They help people see that the challenges they face aren’t personal failures — they’re shared experiences shaped by systems that need to change.
In this seminar, we’ll explore how storytelling can build collective power, and turn individual experiences into a call for action. We’ll look at how organisers can support people to safely share their stories, how those stories can influence decision-makers, and how they can strengthen campaigns for change.
Whether you’re new to community organising or already working alongside communities, this session will help you think about how stories can move people from “this happened to me” to “together we can change this.”

Online - Staying Human: AI, the Future of Work and Christian Discernment
@
Matthew Harvey Sanders — founder and CEO of Longbeard and creator of Magisterium AI — will examine the impact of AI and Robotics on work, livelihoods, and human purpose.
Matthew will explore the moral framework required to discern which elements of work can be responsibly outsourced to technology — and which must be retained if human conscience, vocation and mutuality are to be upheld.
Drawing on Catholic Social Teaching, we will address the vital question: What must remain human? In the context of a volatile new era, a gospel-rooted vision is vital if we are to uphold human agency, enhance relationality and mitigate the potential for social unrest.

Online - Connecting Communities Across Difference
@
Bringing groups of people together with shared interests and building bridges between different groups. This webinar will be led by Nick Gardham in Partnership with the Jo Cox Foundation, who lead The Great Get Together, an annual celebration bringing communities together.
One of the key parts of our Community Organising Framework is connecting communities. We will hear stories of how we have done this as part of our work within the community and how by doing this you realise that, as Jo Cox once said “we are far more united and have far more in common than that which divides us.”
We will hear from our colleagues and friends at the Jo Cox Foundation about the work they do to connect communities across the UK as part of their annual Great Get Together in June and the stories of connection they hear up and down the country as part of their More in Common Network.
