Passionate about making disciples in the rural areas?

This 24-hour national gathering will:

• Share key learnings from contemporary disciple-makers in the countryside for mission strategy
• Enable you to connect with other rural practitioners to share wisdom and encouragement
• Introduce you to mission agencies, partners and resources
• Inspire you to prayer and praise as we discover what God is doing in small settlements and areas of low population.

Hosted by the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich, we will share learnings from across England including including the ‘Growing in God in the Countryside’ project and other rural Strategic Development Funded (SDF) initiatives. 

In a normal week, you might spend four hours with other Christians at church. And in that same week, you might spend 40 hours with your colleagues at work. We know what discipleship looks like in the four hours. But what about the 40?
What does it mean to be as alert to God’s presence at your desk as you are in the pew? How can we live with the habits and practices that sustain our faith through the week? And what does it look like to do the work in front of us with a conviction that our work is worship?
ReWork is a one-day event that takes a deep dive into those questions. If you’re a Christian in your first decade of working life, the day will help you connect your discipleship to what you do, and see how you can thrive in your job as God intended – making a difference with him through it all.

In a culture increasingly marked by shallow faith and fleeting commitments, the Church faces a pressing challenge: a growing discipleship deficit. At this year’s Ekklesia, we will confront this crisis head-on, exploring how we help form resilient, Christ-centered disciples in today’s world. Through biblical insights, practical examples and Spirit-led conversation, we’ll explore how to move beyond programmes and help raise a generation of believers who follow Jesus wholeheartedly.
